Behind the helm is Captain Tristan Valenti, whose passion for boating and the ocean is at the heart of every cruise.

Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Tristan moved to Maine over 15 years ago to begin his career in law enforcement. Today, he proudly serves as a police officer while also working with the Kittery Harbormaster, bringing years of boating experience, professionalism, and a safety-first mindset to every charter.

Fluent in English, French, and Italian, Captain Tristan enjoys welcoming guests from around the world and making everyone feel at home aboard. Whether he’s sharing local history, pointing out wildlife along the coast, or taking you to the perfect spot to watch the sunset, his goal is simple-to create an unforgettable experience while ensuring every guest feels comfortable, relaxed and above all, safe on the water.

When he’s not on patrol or at the helm, Tristan enjoys spending time with his wife Hilary, their three children, and their two lovable Saint Bernards. Together, they built Valenti Scenic Tours to share their love of Maine’s incredible coastline with visitors and locals alike.
